World Figure Sport's Visionary Guild
"I want to thank you for what the World Figure Sport Society has done to keep and revive Figures! ...Not only has the practice made (my daughter) Lillian a better skater it has also given her a blissful place to go on the ice where she quiets her mind, focuses her body, and expresses the beauty of math, art, and design. Silently." Jennifer Vinskey

Become a Scholar of Figures & Beyond!
Beginning Scholars and Ageless Scholars may submit an application/proposal to write original personal essays for possible publication in the WFS Journal. The applicant should propose a scholarly personal project that inspires one to unite and explore the learning process of Figure types i.e. Fundamental (Compulsory/School) Figures, Special Figures, Creative Figures and Flying Figures to academics i.e. mathematics, literacy, handwriting, and the arts i.e. dance, music, painting, and drawing. This should be achieved with a model in the application that strives to achieve balance for the whole person.
The application process should be regarded as both a proposal and audition.
The applicant (with application accepted) will be asked to write personal essays of one's learning process by attentively seeking new insights and knowledge. These personal essays of experience can be considered for publication in the WFS Journal.
The focus of Scholars of Figures & Beyond is to develop in the sport discipline of Figures and to achieve new competency in academics and/or artistic fields.

The WFS may issue recognition of learning achievement certificates in many areas of improved competency and may publish submitted works by the Scholars. The WFS Visionary Guild is designed to recognize the achievements obtained by the Beginning or Ageless Scholar and to promote one's life long process of learning Figures in skating, academics, and the arts.
