Under the umbrella of World Sk8ting & Arts School + Academics, World Figure Sport offers educational opportunities for individuals of all ages and skating-related goals.
- For All Skating Artists Worldwide: WFS offers off-ice classes inThe Art of Skating. These classes are open to all ages, and are suitable for all skaters who wish to deepen their understanding of skating technique and figures. Family members may register to participate with their brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren.
- For Skating Students and Educators: WFS cultivates and certifies a worldwide community of Skating Educators, available for on-ice private and group lessons. WFS Skating Educators are people who currently skate or teach skating and have learned the Fundamental, Special, Creative, Free and Flying Figures that are a part of WFS Fancy Skating. A WFS Skating Educator recognizes and uses the tremendous knowledge made by the mechanics of the blade’s patterns on the ice — and how this ultimately affects the entire body and mind’s capacity to truly learn and understanding skating.
- For Everybody Worldwide: Classes in Skating History, Calligraphy, Knitting and Super Foods are offered in-person in Lake Placid, New York and also via Zoom. Family members may register to participate with their brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren.
- For Visitors to Lake Placid: Lake Placid Souvenir Experience is in-person on Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. EST in Roamers Cafe at the Olympic Center. Fun for all ages and great for Team Building too!
- For K-12 Students Worldwide: World Sk8ting & Arts School + Academics offers K-12 nationwide fully accredited online courses + NCAA approved through EVA. Our multi-modal method creates fun, functional and efficient solutions for a life centered on the beautiful joy of learning.
