We look forward to you attending the 12th Anniversary of the World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships & Festival on Black Ice that combines Fine, Performing, Decorative, and Recording Arts from October 7-11, 2026 in the 1932 Olympic Arena in Lake Placid, NY.
Ice Time Tickets are open for purchase as of May 12, 2026 for the 2026 Festival on Black Ice from October 7-11, 2026. All ages and levels are welcome to purchase ice time tickets to skate on the greatest black ice. Ice Tickets will be clicked at the start of each session for skater check-in.
Participants should purchase Ice Time Tickets in advance so we can be ready for your arrival in Lake Placid. Additional Ice Time Tickets may be purchased on-site and on-line so participants can continue to enjoy the ultimate skating experience.
$20 per 50 min session for WFS Members
$25 per 50 min session for Future WFS Members
In addition to practice ice, participants may also sign up on-site and in person for our amazing Workshops, Private Lessons and/or take World Figure Sport’s Skating Exams. Payment is made in advance on-site for these opportunities. This unprecedented event offers unparalleled opportunities on the black ice.
Skating on black ice is available for skaters from 9am to 9pm around competition times from Oct. 7-11, 2026. Additional ice is $20 per black ice session, workshops are $15 each, and private lessons (fees vary by the teacher) are paid prior to skating at rink side. All ice, workshops and private lessons are non-refundable.

Workshops are $15 each for 25 minutes and begin 25 minutes past each hour.

The Black Ice Festival is open for all ages and levels to skate on the incredible black ice and to learn the Figure Artworks and Fancy Skating. It is the perfect stage for Skating Artists at every level. The atmosphere of kindness, encouragement and gratitude makes this event memorable and lasting.
