At WFS, Skating Artists find an enriching experience and a profound cultural skating community that spreads knowledge, beauty and joy so they can enrich not only their own technique and artistry but that of their local communities with an increased enthusiasm for Art, Sport and Goodwill. Skating Artists find a deeper appreciation of World Class Figures and Fancy Skating with an understanding of grace and gratitude. This vision can only be made possible from supporters like you! Participation for each skater in the World Figure and Fancy Skating Championships ranges from $400 per skater for the International Open to perform in 4 segments, $500 for World Juniors to perform in 5 segments, and $1,500 for all the World Championships segments and includes unlimited black ice participation. Some Skating Artists (who can) choose to self-sponsor their own participation, and others reach out to their community to donate in their honor to World Figure Sport, not-for-profit, of approximately $100 per contribution of 4 donors for the International Open, 5 for World Juniors, and 15 for the World Championships (these donations do not cover the entire cost of Worlds but with everyone’s help WFS can continue to make a lasting local and global impact in perpetuity. Donations of any amount allows World Figure Sport to open this opportunity to all Skating Artists of all levels. It also provides funds to ensure that financial need is never an issue for access to World Figure Sport’s ongoing cultural opportunities.
Donations may be earmarked for specific needs, or be made in the honor or memory of a specific skating artist or person. For example, your generous donations allow World Figure Sport to provide:
- $50: WFS gives one educational WFC Figure book.
- $150: WFS gives one workshop entry.
- $500: WFS gives 3 workshop entries and 1 book.
- $1,000: WFS gives 6 workshop entries and 2 books.
- $1,500: WFS gives 1 World Championship Entry, 3 workshop entries and 1 book, awarded to others in donor’s and skater’s honor.
- $3,000: WFS gives 2 World Championship entries, 6 workshop entries and 2 books awarded to others in donor’s and skater’s honor.
- $5,000: WFS gives 3 World Championship entries, 12 workshop entries and 1 book awarded to others in donor’s and skater’s honor.
- $10,000+: WFS needs legendary Bronze donors, you are greatly needed too!
- $25,000+: WFS needs legendary Silver donors, you are greatly needed too!
- $50,000+: WFS needs legendary Gold donors, you are greatly needed too!
- $75,000+: WFS needs legendary Platinum donors, you are greatly needed too!
- $100,000+: WFS needs legendary Double Platinum donors, you are greatly needed too!
- $300,000+: WFS needs legendary Triple Platinum donors, you are greatly needed too!
