2025 Worlds

The 11th Consecutive World Figure and Fancy Skating Championships on black ice will be held October 8-12, 2025 in Lake Placid, NY.
We are delighted that you are planning to attend as a World Fancy Skating Artist, World Jr. Fancy Skater, International Open Skating Artist, Inclusive Skater, Skating Aficionado, Audience Member, VIP, Press, Volunteer or other fabulous participant. 2025 Worlds has four Divisions:

• World Championships: For the World’s top Figure and Fancy Skating Artists.
• World Juniors: Open to Fancy Skaters under 21. World Junior Skating Artists may also skate in the World Championships. Contact WFS.
• International Open: Open to all Fancy Skaters age 21 and over.
• Inclusive Skating: For anyone with any type of disability.
• Festival: Black Ice Practice Sessions, Workshops, Private Lessons, and Exams

World Figure Sports sequesters judges to avoid bias. The Chief Referee helps the Fancy Skating Artists with correct ice placement to achieve their personal best along with the Chief Accountant. The Chief Accountant applies any penalty points whereas the judging examiners do not watch the Fancy Skating Artists while they perform their Figure Artworks and they have no knowledge of any applied penalty points.

World Figure Sport is an independent international sports body that operates under its own jurisdiction, rules, and sanctions since its founding in 2015.  Eligibility to skate with WFS are to be human, to show good sportsmanship, and to not cheat. A love of skating is also helpful.

All skaters from the US, Canada and other countries are welcome to participate in WFS events, wearing hockey or figure skates.  Anti-trust investigation has concluded that neither WFS nor any other sports organization (brand/business) can limit a person’s sporting activities to solely participate in events that they own, operate and sanction under their brand/business. Freedom of sport/business participation is no different than any other legitimate business entity and a sports business/brand can not operate as a cartel neither nationally nor globally. For the past decade, Art, Sport, and Goodwill live at WFS and every person is free to participate in our global Art/Sport Movement/Brand. WFS and the World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice are one of the most artistic endeavors on earth and the only one to combine Fine, Performing, Decorative and Recording Arts on ice wearing Blades of Steel.
