2025 World Championship’s Artworks: (3) Fancy Fundamentals + (2) Specials + (1) Creative Artwork + Fancy Skating = World Figure & Fancy Skating Champion
Registration is opened and managed through World Figure Sport’s Global Headquarters for each World Championship’s Skating Artist. This direct communication is helpful for our World Class Skating Artists. Our World Skating Artists may represent their family’s heritage or current residence.
Once registered through headquarters, every World Skating Artist should announce by print promo and video of their quest and journey preparing for the 2025 World Junior Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice to their friends, family, and associates. Please share World Figure Sport’s Venmo @worldfiguresport or the WFS credit card donation link and ask inspired people to donate to the World Figure Sport Society, not-for-profit, that makes this legendary Art Movement all possible with everyone’s help.
Please ask inspired donors to write in honor of in the notes. With everyone’s help World Figure Sport will receive $200 per competition segment (7 total segments performed for an overall World Championship’s Ranking) per World Skating Artist.
This fundraising goal includes entry and unlimited black ice practice but does not actually pay for the World Championships as it helps so more may be raised than the minimum goal. Also, new WFS Sponsorships are welcome and anyone may donate in honor of a World Skating Artist and/or the skater may also directly help, too.
World Figure Sport’s Diamond Menagerie has been approved by the WFS Board of Directors for the 2025 World Championships. This artwork was chosen for its creative use of the Fundamental Figure Artworks with a minor twist by adding a menagerie of 3-turns and Brackets to create a “Diamond” shape of turns. This new combination adds to the global knowledge of Figure Artworks with beauty, universal appeal and attainable World Class capacity. – Right forward outside edge start – repeat the combination for 6 tracings and immediately push at the center onto the left forward outside edge and repeat 6 tracings.
World Figure Sport’s Quadruple Forward Inside Edge Circle Artwork has been approved by the WFS Board of Directors for the 2025 World Championships. This artwork was chosen for expanding the global knowledge of Figure Artworks with its simplicity, beauty, universal appeal and attainable World Class capacity. – Right forward inside edge start and the combination takes one to the left forward inside edge to complete the Quadruple Inside Circle Artwork.
World Figure Sport’s Forward Loop de Loops Fundamental Figure Artworks has been approved by the WFS Board of Directors for the 2025 World Championships. This artwork was chosen for its iconic beauty, universal appeal and attainable World Class capacity. – Right forward outside edge start and repeat for 6 loop tracings (choose to exit or immediately change axis to start on the left forward inside edge for 6 loop tracings).
World Figure Sport’s Swirling Mirror Artwork has been approved by the WFS Board of Directors for the 2025 World Championships. This Special Figure Artwork was chosen for its challenging but attainable quality that pushes a Fancy Skater’s technical skill and the unlimited creativity at these Worlds Championships. The Swirling Mirror was previously skated at the World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships, so this year’s competitors will be the second set of Fancy Skaters to achieve this artwork on black ice. Note: Fancy Skaters may choose to do one complete artwork of the Swirling Mirror and skate out or continue without stopping – start on right forward inside edge and repeat the combination of inside Cross-cuts and forward inside Loops for 3 tracings (with or without rest) and then exit and repeat for 3 tracings on the left forward inside (with or without rest between tracings).
World Figure Sport’s Winged Swedish Cross-cut Artwork has been approved by the WFS Board of Directors for the 2025 World Championships. This Winged Swedish Cross-cut Special Figure was chosen to allow Fancy Skaters to be the first in history to skate this Artwork with its incredible combination of Swedish Cross-cuts and Brackets. It was designed with the wings to show its relationship to the Winged Diamond Cross-cut Special Figure Artwork and for it to take center stage in its own right (being a first in history, ground-breaking historic pattern, skate-able, fun, challenging but attainable). This will be a first in history at the 2025 World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships, so this year’s competitors will be the first set of Fancy Skaters to achieve this artwork on black ice. Note: The pattern consists of 6 Swedish Cross-cuts (3 on each leg on the forward inside edge – half of a forward inside Loop to a flat (straight line) and the flat to 3/4 of a forward inside circle) and 6 Bracket turns (Right Forward Inside and Right Forward Outside Consecutive Brackets) to complete the Winged Swedish Cross-cut Special Figure Artwork.
