Since 2016, WFS has created original music in the Recording Arts.
Schools, choirs, individual musicians, and composers can propose to WFS a potential partnership with us to record, edit, manage and publish new albums.
Anyone can support our recording arts by buying and sharing the albums. Plus, one can donate specifically to World Figure Sport’s Recording Arts and sponsor a song or an entire album by check, credit card, family foundation or by Venmo.
Today’s music copyright issues affect everyone’s ability to release works across global social media and video platforms. Since 2016, WFS has taken a positive artistic approach to this issue by expanding the genre of recording arts available for use (anyone may request permission to license WFS works for other purposes).
Fancy Skating Artists may perform to existing music from WFS Recording Arts, or they may work with WFS to commission and score music for their Fancy Skating performance for a reasonable fee.
A Fancy Skating Artist may choose to perform to other music but it is best to keep an open mind and explore all options. Fancy Skating Artists preparing for the 2025 Worlds are encouraged to set up a music consultation with WFS at 518-304-3029.
For Fancy Skating Artists with the skills and desire to record their own music, WFS can manage the recording and editing for a reasonable rate.
