“I was asked to skate my 2024 Creative Artwork in the center of the rink. I took that position of honor seriously, and everything in this Creative Figure relates to reverence and appreciation. The spiral at the center reminds me of a hurricane, which we get plenty of in Florida. Surrounding the spiral are four tulips, which are a beautiful flower from a land with a lot of skating history and some of my ancestery. Sittig at the center of the 1932 Arena in Lake Placid, the spiral becomes a black hole where history magnifies.” — Shepherd Clark
